Home / Italy Work Permit
A reliable and comprehensive guide to Italy’s work visa system, including eligibility criteria, required documentation, application timelines, and quota details for 2025–2028.
Italy has officially introduced a new three-year quota plan for 2026–2028, offering a total of 497,550 work visas. This creates significant opportunities for foreign workers across key sectors such as agriculture, tourism, construction, and more.
Italy grants work permits to non-EU nationals through the Decreto Flussi program, which sets fixed annual quotas for both seasonal and non-seasonal jobs. These opportunities cover sectors such as agriculture, hospitality, construction, manufacturing, domestic work, long-term employment, and even self-employment.
The application process follows a structured system that begins with pre-filing, followed by specific Click Days, where employers must submit applications at precise times. Preparing and verifying applications in advance significantly improves the chances of approval.
To meet ongoing labor demands, Italy has adopted a multi-year quota plan for 2025–2028, focusing on key industries like agriculture, tourism, construction, logistics, elderly care, and food production.
Total Quota : (2026–2028): 497,550 Work Visas Annual Distribution:
2026: 164,850 visas
2027: 165,850 visas
